The Allgäu Cycle Route covers 475 kilometres across six districts in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and Tyrol. Rated as a four-star ADFC quality route, it links Alpine foothills, river valleys, lakes and mountain scenery.

The route’s strength is its modular design. It can currently be ridden in nine variants, allowing distance and elevation to fit the time available and your fitness. Links with the Iller Cycle Route and Allgäu Cycle Route create further combinations.

A day section in the southern Allgäu is enough for a first taste. For the full circuit, coordinate stages, accommodation, luggage, rail links and battery range well in advance. The official website provides current GPX files and variants; check for roadworks or diversions before every stage.
