The official circuit is 1.53 km long with about 10 metres of ascent. Allow extra time for the interpretation points. The start is not directly served by public transport; it is roughly a two-kilometre walk from the Geometerweg bus stop in Weissensee. Paid parking is available at Alatsee and on the eastern shore of Weissensee.

Stay on the path, keep dogs under control and avoid disturbing birds, particularly during breeding and resting periods. Bring a phone for the QR audio, but do not play calls loudly in the natural setting.
