Nordic walking, which comes from Finland, is a gentle but effective endurance sport that is good for your health and well-being in many ways. Since you can also get to know and enjoy the landscape wonderfully, Nordic walking is of course a very suitable holiday activity. On the approx. The round takes about an hour and a half and is considered relatively easy. However, a little bit of fitness is necessary. The starting and finishing point is the parking lot at the mini golf course in Bad Faulenbach. This is located at the end of Alatseestrasse.
You start at the parking lot and first follow Alatseestrasse a little southwards and then turn left at the bus stop. Immediately afterwards, turn left again and along Alatseestrasse to Fischhausweg. The quiet and beautiful landscape here in the Kneipp health resort and mineral and mud spa Bad Faulenbach is perfect for letting your thoughts wander and relaxing wonderfully in the fresh air. The Fischhaus path turns into the Schwärzerweg, which you follow just before an intersection on the right into the forest. Now you have to climb quite a bit up to 883 meters in altitude before you continue comfortably and cross the Austrian border. A little later the Schwärzerweg joins the Ländeweg, which now leads you above the Lech towards Lechfall. You cross the border again and walk through an idyllic forest landscape. To your right, the fascinating turquoise water of the Lech flashes between the trees.
It's worth a stop at the Füssener Lechfall, which, together with the Lech Gorge, is one of the hundred most beautiful geotopes in Bavaria. From the König-Max-Steg, which leads over the waterfall, you can watch up close the wild masses of water that plunge twelve meters down over several steps before flowing into the Lech Gorge. Also worth seeing is the bust of the Bavarian King Ludwig II, which is located in a rock niche above the gorge. It was founded by the city Füssen in honor of the king, who lived in 19.
