If you want to do your laps in peace and work off some energy while swimming, you can do so in the 50 meter pool in the outdoor area, which is surrounded by comfortable sunbathing lawns that invite you to soak up the sun. The focus is on the relaxation and fun factor in an adventure pool, which includes, among other things, a wild water channel and a rock and water slide. The Alpenbad Pfronten is one of the most beautiful outdoor swimming pools in the Allgäu, because while you relax here or splash around in the water, you have an omnipresent view of the wonderful mountain panorama.
If the weather is bad, you can simply go indoors, where there are also the best bathing and relaxation conditions thanks to a large swimming pool and a rock grotto with a cold waterfall. Especially for very young guests, the Alpenbad has a children's zone with funny play animals and a toddler pool. Bathers can enjoy drinks and snacks in the pleasant ambience of the “bikini bar”.
In addition to the varied water world, a 1300 qm large sauna and fitness island is part of the Alpenbad Pfronten. The sporting offerings here range from equipment and cardio training to Power Plate to spinning and Zumba, which are led by competent staff and can be used, for example, for health prevention, weight loss or general physical fitness. The sauna and wellness area, which includes a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, an aromatic steam bath and an adventure shower, invites you to unwind and relax. The Alpenbad Pfronten offers various courses throughout the week that are ideal for improving your fitness in the water. What should be highlighted here is the new trend of “aqua cycling”, which you can only get to know in the Alpenbad. This involves physical activity in water using a type of water bike, which effectively strengthens the entire body, the cardiovascular system, blood circulation and connective tissue. Aqua cycling also promotes coordination and mobility. The trendy fitness method, which is also ideal for beginners and older people, can be tried out at the Alpenbad on Wednesdays at 12 Uhr during a taster course that is offered from July to mid-September. Fantastic bathing fun, sport and fitness as well as pure relaxation - a trip to the Alpenbad Pfronten promises a wonderful holiday for young and old. The indoor and outdoor swimming pool is located on Falkensteinweg 14 in Pfronten-Meilingen and is open daily from 09:30 to 20:30 Uhr. Last entry is at 19:30 Uhr. If the weather is good, the outdoor pool opens from June 04 2016. Every Wednesday is hot water day - then the indoor pool is heated to 30 degrees.
