The Alpspitze in Nesselwang is easy to reach via the A7 motorway and the “Nesselwang / Rückholz” exit. The large Alpspitzbahn car park serves as the starting point for the trip to the Nesselwanger waterfall. From the parking lot, head east up to the Sonnenbichl restaurant, where there is a signpost to the waterfall path. The path runs gently uphill through fascinating Allgäu mountain nature, which impresses with a variety of landscape impressions. The hike leads along a quietly babbling stream to the foot of the waterfall, where there is a bench that invites you to take a break and enjoy nature. Next to the waterfall, a wooden path leads further uphill. While the water rushes down the mountain next to you, you climb the steps and can always enjoy the great views over the foothills of the Alps. After leaving the wooden path behind you, you come to a crossroads.

Here you can take a short detour to the Nesselwang castle ruins, which are the remains of a medieval shield wall castle. The actual route continues to the Enzianstüble at the middle station of the Alpspitzbahn. Here, hungry hikers are treated to Allgäuer delicacies and refreshing drinks, which can be enjoyed on a cozy terrace with a view of the vast foothills of the Alps when the weather is nice. Then you can either take one of the hiking trails or comfortably take the Alpspitzbahn back to the valley. What promises the most fun, however, is the fast-paced ride on the summer toboggan run, which is over 1000 meters long and offers children and adults a lot of fun.
