The body of water, surrounded by dense forest and located between the Hopfensee and Forggensee, exudes a special peace and invites you to unwind. The cozy Faulenseehütte is located here, which is ideal for a first break. Cyclists can fortify themselves with delicious snacks, hearty soups and stews or home-smoked trout before continuing the tour.
Then you continue to follow the forest path that leads you to Rieden am Forggensee. You drive through the town, take the cycle path on the right on the main road and then follow the cycle signs to get to Osterreinen. From here, the excursionists cycle directly along the banks of the Forggensee - the largest lake in the Allgäu - to Café Maria and further towards Füssen. Lake Forggensee is a popular leisure area in summer and autumn, ideal for swimming, water sports or cycling on the shore.
