Vacationers in Füssen-Weißensee who want to get to know this charming holiday route are recommended to take the approximately 70 kilometer long stage from Füssen to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. First, parallel to the Romantic Road, we take the B17 to Steingaden, where the magnificently furnished Rococo jewel Wieskirche is located. The tour then continues east through the Ammertal into Ammergau. Via Unterammergau and Oberammergau, travelers reach Ettal Monastery, where a short detour to Linderhof Castle is possible. While the route was previously rather flat, there is now a steeper climb to the Ettaler Sattel and then a winding descent to Oberau. Here we continue on the B2, through the Loisach valley, into the Garmisch-Partenkirchen basin. It is worth visiting the Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany.
